Trident Juncture 15 ACT sponsored Command Post Exercise combined with Live Exercise Overall requirements: • Train forces for future missions planning and execution,including sustainment and necessary logistics • “High Visibility” exercise and flagship activity for NATOs CFI • Set standards for future challenges • Demonstrate transformation of NFS and NCS • Certification for NATO NRF 2016 and FOC event for JFCBS • Use deployable CIS HQ assets and non HQ assets in combination with NATO CIS infrastructure • Link to national exercises
Trident Juncture 15 Aim and Objectives - Logistics: • Practice and improve planning and coordination of logistic support and execution of theatre level multinational logistics in support of deploying forces by coordinating and using appropriate NATO, national and multi-national logistics resources and exercising logistics command and control over theatre level logistics. • Practice planning, coordination and execution of the real-life deployment, RSOM and re-deployment of the NRF- equivalent LIVEX joint forces into/out of LIVEX geographical areas based on NRF 16 C2 structure. • Capability Integration and Experimentation: - TRJE 15 will provide an environment for new capabilities to be tested, refined, and further developed. - Must be announced and integrated into the Exercise Planning Process NLT the IPC
Trident Juncture 15 Logistics Role in the Exercise Part 1 (CPX) 28 SEP – 16 OCT 2015: • Procedures and responsibilities for development of the Allied Force Lists (AFLs), Allied Disposition Lists (ADLs), and Detailed Deployment Plans (DDPs) in order to translate the CJSOR into a Multinational Detailed Deployment Plan (MNDDP) and forces flow during execution phase will be in accordance with MC 526! • JFCBS, during Part 1, will provide the nucleus of the JLSG HQ which will be augmented by other NCS/NFS HQs and National contributions. • Testing some of the LOG FS functionalities provided that the awarded company will have the capability developed; • OLCM (validation of business process in order to reach IOC); Part 2 (LIVEX) 21 OCT – 6 NOV 2015: • The JLSG HQ for Part 2 will be generated within the NFS • Theatre Opening Capability (APOD) • Multinational deployable fuel unit (with a lead nation) operating under the JLSG HQ LOGCON
Trident Juncture 15 Recommendations • LCEG to note the briefing • Consider the opportunity to maintain the same JLSG HQ used in CPX for LIVEX. • Invite Nations to commit as soon as possible Logistics units.
