  2. LHSON Technology • Computers • PCs with Win 7 and Office 2013 • Computer Lab • Open 24/7 • Printing • LRC and Computer Lab • PawPrints – print release system • AirBear – wireless access • 3rd floor is weak • Plugs are located underneath classroom desks for charging laptops

  3. Security • Bear ID • Passwords • Only the help desk can assist you with password issues • You are required to change your password every 6 months • Changing password affects wireless access

  4. Wireless Access • Select “Airbear WPA2” from available wireless networks • Your computer should prompt you for a user name and password. Enter your Baylor user name and password. • EX: Bobby_Baylor and 1234Pass! • If it asks for a domain enter BAYLOR • If your computer wants to add a certificate, then accept it and ok anything it wants to do • You may need to re-enter the same information multiple times. That is ok and not necessarily a problem.

Other Technologies • Web Browsers – Have MULTIPLE browsers on your machine (Explorer, Firefox, Chrome, Safari) • If one doesn’t work, then try another • Blackboard - LMS • http://my.baylor.edu • Tegrity – Classroom Capture System • View through your Blackboard account • Download for better viewing

  6. Other Technologies • Box – Network File Storage: http://baylor.box.com • ExamSoft – online exam • Use Mozilla/Firefox • Go to www.examsoft.com\baylornursing • Load software well before the first exam

Services • General Tech Help • Drop-in help – when doors are open • Room 404 – located inside the computer lab • Room 410 – across from the LRC • Otherwise, appointments are needed • Fill out a request at www.baylor.edu/nursing/help • Please include what days and times you are available • We don’t mind helping! We just need a little bit of notice.

Tech Tips • Download any needed items BEFORE coming to class. • Watch for times when printing bottlenecks and plan accordingly. • Check your Baylor e-mail frequently! • If using a LHSON machine be aware of what it does and does not do. • Saving files…. • Be aware of what building you are in and how it is different from LHSON
