ILO Instruments ILO formulates international labour standards in the form of Conventions and Recommendations setting minimum standards of basic labour rights: • freedom of association, • the right to organize, and collective bargaining, • abolition of forced labour, • equality of opportunity and treatment, • abolotion of child labour • and other standards
Workers and Employers ILO promotes the development of independent employers' and workers' organizations and provides training and advisory services to those organizations

Information Technology for Trade Unions • Information technology training during residential courses • Establishment of SoliComm: email, web hosting, conferencing, e-library • Distance education courses and workshops (12 in 2004) • Use of information technology for pre- and post-course activities
