  4. Game Addiction • Previously considered a teenager addiction • Kim’s case has drawn attention to adults • Spent 6 months on the run • Convicted of “negligent homicide” • 5 year prison sentence ??

Korea has been battling Game Addiction • Teenage addiction has been dropping • 938,000 in 2009 • Number of adults have increased • 975,000 in 2009 • Gov’t announced plans to expand counseling programs to adults • More challenging • One of the cheapest diversion for unemployed • South Korea is extremely well “connected”
