Definitions • Deviance: socially unacceptable, usually used in a judgmental way • Paraphilia: “beyond usual or typical love,” behaviors/desires that exist regardless of emotional connection • Fetishism: arousal by inanimate object or focus on one body part • Atypical behavior: uncommon sexual behaviors (or behaviors perceived as uncommon)
