We ought to soak ourselves in the Word of God, so that God’s Word may rule our lives and our lives’ purpose. We ought to know God as our Father, throughout life, unto death. We ought to cheerfully entrust our souls to God (in everyday living and at the end), and trust that it is safe in His hands. When we do that, death in fact can be a comforter.
