  3. 1st Scene The women return dressed as men from the forum, triumphing for themselves. A women-only government was voted. They return home in secret so that they remain unseen by their husbands. Praxagora is giving instructions.

  4. 2nd Scene New measures are declared by the women’s government. Men react violently but in the end they are forced to concede. From now on common ownership and equality. Among others, common ownership in love giving priority to the older aged.

  5. 3rd Scene Regarding love, old women first and then the younger ones are to assert the lion’s share. Praxagora will finally put everything in order.
