Who to inform • Emergency services must be informed and approve. • All residents in the road must be consulted on and notified of the event.
Planning the layout • Access for emergency vehicles and residents. • Mark out a clear pathway with traffic cones for cyclists and pedestrians. • Cone off any obstructions and illuminate after dark. • Adequate signage and cones to close off the road. • No overspill of parking into adjacent streets not multiple parking.
On the day • Consideration for neighbours. • ALL music should be finished at midnight. • Ensure the area is left clean and tidy after the event. • NO bonfires, barbecues or mobile cookers on the highway. • Adult supervision at all times when using any play equipment. • Fixed tents or marquees are not permitted.
Insurance • You must arrange your own Public Liability Insurance. • A copy of this must be sent to us (LBM) before the event. • We will not be responsible for any damage to property or injury to any person arising in connection with the holding of the street party.

The forms distributed are for small gatherings of neighbours in minor roads only. Larger events or those on main roads would have to be dealt with on a more formal basis and may involve road closures that will cost a minimum of £1,465 Before you go
