Most of these civil servants, when joining the service, have a high sense of responsibility to serve the public. Requirements of civil service employment are that one is likely to work for extended hours, change stations often, and be under pressure most of the time. These aspects can put a lot of pressure on marriage, mainly because one or both members may be unable to regulate the balance between their careers and family. In conclusion, civil service matrimony is a unique and demanding relationship, where the lines between professional duty and personal life are often blurred. These couples face lots of tests in their marriages, in their professional settings, family issues, relocation, and more importantly their ability to constantly be conformable to changes. However, those individuals who can balance these demands, reap big in that they can create a life together, supported by values, working commitment, and a balance between the public and private domains.
