Why would you want to go to the Yukon territory you ask? Because Yukon has many beautiful mountain ranges and you could go hiking. Or you could see great views of the Yukon territory. Yukon also has wonderful wildlife including their state bird the Common Raven, their state rock Lazulite, their state tree the Subalpine Fir and much, much more. You might not think you want to but you do come to the Yukon Territory and live your dreams.
The Yukon capital is Whitehorse located in south Yukon. Yukon’s population of 2007 is 30,883. Yukon is 482,443 sq. kilometers. The Yukon Territory entered the federation on June 13, 1898. One other major city is Dawson City.
Other Cool Stuff • Yukon was home of a infamous gold rush that they were home to it wasn’t famous but it was sure a gold rush. With this gold the government of Canada bought about 30,000 kilometers of land from some Indians and this land became the Yukon Territory.
