  1. Changing This Country By Reshaping The Street Children From the time of independence to the current ecosystem, complete victory on poverty has not been achieved. Though, we cannot deny how far we have come. It is important to take every possible effort to eradicate poverty. In this scenario, the street children stand as a poster representation of India’s poverty and it is not easy to let go this predicament. Street children face a lot of atrocities that are not easy to deal with. Most of these street children elope from their households as they want to avoid domestic violence. Often, they wish to avoid abuse as well, that may be they are facing all alone. These children could be highly resourceful to the country provided they are given the right kind of education, care and shelter. Cumulative efforts need to be taken to bring out the children from the shackles of street life. We live in a nation where street children have lesser means to lead a good life. They don’t get good food or clothes. Medical aid is out of question. It is imperative to take primitive actions for the people. Among so many NGOs working day and night, the one NGO that is working beyond its lengths and breaths is Salaam Baalak Trust.
