“10,9,8,7,6,5,4,3,2,1, BLAST OFF!!” the loud voice said over the radio. Mike the mouse huddled in his area. He was going to space to see if the old legends were true. The mice of the world watching him on their mini TVs.
Mike scurried out of his hiding place to see space out the window. It looked black with white dots. Weird. Space should be yellow. Then the scary man said, “ We are nearing the moon.” YES!! Mike thought.
This was what Mike had come for! The moon! The old legends said it was made of......CHEESE!! If it was true, the mice could live there! Mike looked out the window. The moon looked like Swiss cheese!
The moon loomed closer. Then…THUMP! The spaceship landed on the moon. The door opened with a loud WHOOSH, and Mike hopped out. Well, he thought, Here goes nothing.
Mike took a bite out of the moon. YUM! It tasted like Swiss cheese! The mice would live there! No more cats and poison and mouse traps! HOORAY! Mike was a hero!
