    3. SENIOR EVENTS CALENDAR Yearbooks: May 28th Prom: Saturday, May 23rd Final Exams: June 5th – 9th Baccalaureate: Sunday, June 7th Senior Breakfast: June 10th Graduation Practice: June 10th Graduation: June 11th

Grad Night Where: ESPN Zone & Disneyland When: Thursday, June 11th Time: 7:30 PM; return 6:30 AM Transportation: school bus from SHHS Requirements – visit Grad Night table Parent permission slip/18 year olds may sign $105.00 February – March, $115.00 April -May, check made out to SHHS PTSA – Grad Night After today, forms in room 4 & lyceum Ticket sales – Fridays at Lunch in May May 29th is the LAST day to purchase!

    5. Grad Night – OK to Bring Cameras, cell phones, and pagers are OK if not in a case Inhalers are OK w/advance approval from the Grad Night reservation form Disney hats are OK

    6. Unacceptable Dress Any clothing affiliated with a school, sports team, group, etc. (letterman jackets, clothing with school logos, etc.) Clothing not in good repair (torn jeans and shirts, etc.) Extremely revealing clothing (i.e. bathing suit tops/bottoms, see-through clothing, etc.) Disney hats are OK

    7. Leave at Home All backpacks, briefcases, hip packs, camera bags, tote bags, and oversized purses Weapons, knives, chemical irritants of any kind, laser pointers Food and beverage (including water bottles and snack items) Prescription medication (inhalers are OK with advance approval from the Grad Night reservation form) Lotion, mouthwash, and any over-the-counter medications Tobacco products (cigarettes, cigars, chewing tobacco, snuff, etc.) and related material (lighters, matches, pipes, etc.) Grad Night is non-smoking event. No one – regardless of age – will be allowed to smoke at any time. Alcohol, illegal drugs (or any controlled substance) and weapons.

    13. PROM Mr. Garcia & Junior Class Date: Saturday, May 23rd Location: TBA Time: 6:30 PM – Midnight Ticket Sales: April 20th – May 15th All Saturday school assignments must be served & fines paid before Prom tickets can be purchased

    14. Diplomas Check Class Roster TODAY Check name spelling & make changes if necessary No changes? Official school name will be printed Name printed on diploma will be the name announced at Graduation Deadline: NOW!

    15. Graduation Requirements Minimum of 217.5 units Earn 40 units in your senior year Enrolled in a minimum of 5 classes No unit loss in required classes Complete Algebra 1 or equivalent Pass computer competency Pass CAHSEE ABSOLUTELY NO unit loss in spring semester classes

    16. Graduation Clearance Any student in jeopardy of NOT passing a required class Any student with an Unexcused absence in a required class STUDENTS WILL BE PLACED ON “GRADUATION HOLD” AND WILL NOT BE ISSUED A CAP & GOWN UNTIL CLEARED

    17. Graduation Eligibility Monitor attendance weekly 3 unexcused absences = loss of 1 unit of credit Clear absences within 3 days Complete assignments; take exams Behavior – don’t risk participation in senior activities: Prom Baccalaureate Graduation

    18. Yearbook Distribution Miss Safe Thursday, May 28th in the GYM 4:00 – 5:00 PM SENIORS ONLY! 5:00 – 7:00 PM All Students All fines must be paid School ID required

    19. Baccalaureate Plummer Auditorium - FUHS Sunday, June 7th 4:30 – 5:30 PM Participation is optional Requirements for participants Report promptly at 4:00 PM Cap (with tassel) and gown must be worn

    20. Benefits of Baccalaureate No assigned seating Choose your marching partner No restrictions on Cap and Gown accessorizing Best opportunity to take pictures with family and friends

Baccalaureate Protocol Lineup outside the theater entrance Arrive no later than 4:00 PM Choose one person to march with Processional Follow directions of staff Once the processional begins, no one will be allowed into the theater until the graduates are seated. Families should arrive early so as not to break the processional/disrupt the ceremony once it’s started

    22. Baccalaureate Protocol Parking is available in the parking structure across from Plummer on the corner of Chapman Ave and Lemon Questions? See Mr. Posthuma or Mrs. Rodriguez in room 4

    23. Graduation Practice Attendance is MANDATORY! Wednesday, June 10th 1:00 PM – 3:30 PM Be ON TIME so we can finish ON TIME It’s HOT, HOT, HOT! Bring water, wear sun screen, light/comfortable clothing, hat/sunglasses, etc. We’re there until we’re FINISHED! Fullerton High School stadium Parking is limited – leave home EARLY Senior lot Parking structure @ FJC Ag farm on Lemon NO PARKING @ staging area

    24. Practice… step 1 Assignment Posted outside room 4 on Monday, June 8th Know which teacher you are to report to before you arrive for practice

    25. Practice… step 2 Practice Report to the stadium promptly at 1:00 PM Check-in with your assigned teacher who will direct you to your seat You will be in the sun.. dress appropriately & bring water

    27. For Your Information… Seniors who do not attend the graduation rehearsal will be DROPPED from the seat assignment and the diploma readers list. If you plan on walking, BE AT REHEARSAL!

    29. …FYI…. Graduate seating will face the west end zone Both sides of the stadium will be used Tickets will be needed for family to enter the ceremony Handicapped seating for guests will not be available on the field

    30. STADIUM LAYOUT

    31. PARKING Fullerton College’s Parking Structure across from the FUHS stadium on Lemon Lemon will be CLOSED. Enter the structure on Berkley. City Parking Structure, south of Chapman on Lemon/Pomona Daily parking permit required $2.00

    32. GRADUATION TICKETS Required for stadium entrance (not required for age 3 and under) Each graduate allotted 7 tickets Provided in Cap & Gown package

    33. FAMILY/SPECTATORS Inform your family which side of the stadium to sit on so they enter the appropriate gate. Spectators will not be allowed to enter the stadium with items that distract from the ceremony (noise makers, balloons, posters, signs, umbrellas, etc. will be confiscated at the ticket entrance) Additional tickets will NOT be available at the gates.

Graduation – Cap & Gown Caps & Tassels Worn squarely on the head Tassel is worn on the left side High honors = gold, black, white tassel All others = black tassel Permissible accessories National Honor Society armbands Lancer Knight medallions CSF and/or IB stoles International Studies cords

Graduation - Photographs Photographers will NOT be allowed on the field before/during/after ceremony Professional photos will be taken of each graduate receiving diploma Parents, relatives, and friends must remain behind the crowd control barriers – they will NOT be permitted inside the tennis court area on the field in the tunnel

    37. Cap & Gown RETURN

    38. CAP & GOWN RETURN Graduates will be led to the tennis courts during the recessional Cap & Gown return boxes will be set up along the recessional pathway on the tennis courts – unzip your gown & disrobe while going through the tunnel

    39. DIPLOMA PICK-UP Once you have returned your cap & gown, report to the diploma tables, located in the cafeteria area Distribution is arranged in alphabetical order by last name
