Diversion • Offerer: Juvenile Probation Officers (JGH) of the city of Göttingen • Target Group: First or repeat offenders, who have committed minor to medial criminal offences • Offer: Through educational discussions with the JGH and the fulfillment of required measures the participants can achieve the abatement of their actions • Advantages: Timely reactions in response to delinquent behavior; Undesirable development can be recognized earlier and countered; the people concerned can through active cooperation avoid arraignment • Proposal: Public Prosecutors in consultation with the Juvenile Probation Officers

  3. Perpetrator-Victim-Balance • Offerer: Göttinger Verein für Mediation e.V. • Target Group: First or repeat offenders, who have committed harassment, libel or bodily harm to someone • Offer: Mediation between victim and perpetrator after clarification discussions and supervision of an agreement between the two parties • Advantages: Discussion about the feelings of the victim between all parties concerned, and co-organizing opportunities for the conflict clarification of the perpetrator • Proposal: Public prosecutors and Juvenile Probation Officers

  4. Social Training Course • Offerer: Jugendhilfe Süd-Niedersachsen e.V. • Target Group: Repeat Offenders, whose medial offences stand out • Offer: Social educational groups, through which individual case support will be supplemented and arrest avoidance offered • Advantages: Through participation in a six-month group course and usage of individual case support, one can work toward a change of behavior. • Proposal: Juvenile Court in consultation with the juvenile probation officers

  5. Angression Control Training • Offerer: Jugendhilfe Süd-Niedersachsen e.V. • Target Group: Repeat offenders, whose crimes are of a more violent nature • Offer: An intensive social education group for 2 months, which is taken in conjunction with a social training course. • Advantages: The person concerned participates in roll playing games and exercises confronting their own aggressions. With these exercises they learn how to avoid and walk away from conflicts. • Proposal: Juvenile Court in consultation with the juvenile probation officers

  6. Selfcontrol Training • Offerer: The Drug Consulting Center of the Deacon Alliance of Göttingen • Target Group: Repeat offenders, whose crimes were in connection with alcohol or drugs • Offer: 10 week training program as a group • Advantages: The people concerned deal intensively with their addictions and learn new, alternative behaviors • Proposal: Juvenile court and public prosecutors in consultation with the juvenile probation officers
