Primitive Sporting Arms • MUZZLELOADERS • one of the rules of muzzleloading safety is to never prime or cap a muzzleloader until you are ready to fire. • If you are not sure if the muzzleloader is loaded then use a marked ramrod to check it • the ball or shot charge must be seated against the powder charge

  3. Bowhunting • Only broadheads are used for big game hunting • always carry arrows in a covered quiver

  4. Survival • Hypothermia • is the lowering of body temperature • #1 outdoor killer • always wear layered clothing • vapor transmission layer • insulation layer • protective layer

  5. If you get lost • Admit it to yourself and stay calm and stay where you are

  6. Field care of game • Three main factors which can spoil meat in the field • dirt • heat • moisture
