New ‘online’ consumer habits in Ireland • 94% of under 17 year olds have internet access in some shape or form and 54% of them access the internet daily • 30% generate their own media • Average online session is 3 hours • Social networking is a phenomenon with Bebo the most visited site for the longest period - 75 mins, followed by Google and MSN • 45% have experimented with their own blog • The internet is now the 2nd most popular source of information for students aged 11 to 16 years, after asking a parent or other members of the family *Source : generator research
