Discovery Learning Center 0 Interns for Indiana Company Impacts • 331 Purdue students statewide • 115 Indiana companies • 142,000 hours Institutionalization • New funding model • Support from companies, university, state, private donors, foundations • Pilot summer ‘07 • Six IfI students have each started their own company • > 37 students have been hired full-time by their internship company • 80% surveyed believe IfI increased their interest in working at a start-up company • 62% said the program heightened their interest in starting their own company • 72% of students take jobs in Indiana after graduation (compared to 56% for Univ.)
