introduction • Tegucigalpa is not only the largest country, but filled with numerous attractions and history. The center of town features fine old churches, other old buildings, and a pedestrian walkway. The beautiful city is filled with diverse people, culture, history, food and sites. Many museums and national parks are located in this lavish city with an abundance of activities to do and history to learn.

La tigra national park • La Tigra National Park is one of the most beautiful places in Honduras. Salabancatlan museum • The SalaBancatlan Museum boasts an amazing collection of artifacts of this region dating back to pre-history. Art, ancient coins, and other historic artifacts are on permanent display
Iglesia los Dolores • Iglesia Los Dolores is worth a visit, with a plaza out front and religious art inside. On the front of Los Dolores are figures representing the Passion of Christ - his unseamed cloak, the cock that crowed three times - all crowned by the more indigenous symbol of the sun

Basílica de Suyapa • Gothic Basílica de Suyapa is dedicated to the Virgen de Suyapa, patron saint of Honduras, believed to have performed hundreds of miracles. This religious site is sure to fill and educate about many of Tegucigalpa’s history

Conclusion • Tegucigalpa is a diverse and unique city to visit. It is a unique experience to be able to have hands on exposure to the culture as well as the history.
