You may upload the physical but if you have already turned the physical in, you are complete. You may always drop-off a physical to our office.

The Knights Pledge(Code of Conduct) The Two Components of the Knights Pledge: • Drugs, Alcohol, and Tobacco Use • Student-Athlete Behavior
DRUG, ALCOHOL, & TOBACCOCode of Conduct • 1st Offense - Suspension for 22% of the Sport Season • 2nd Offense - Suspension for 1 Calendar year • 3rd Offense - Suspension for the remainder of enrollment at KHS
STUDENT-ATHLETE BEHAVIORCode of Conduct • 24 Hours a Day • 7 Days a Week • 365 Day a Year • 4 Years of Enrollment • Suspensions can range from one contest to an entire season depending upon the infraction. • Consequences are typically progressive in nature.
ACADEMIC ELIGIBILTY • Academic Standing reviewed weekly per the IHSA • Must be passing 5 classes (2.5 Credits) the previous week to be eligible the following week (Monday – Sunday) /per the IHSA Rule • Must Pass 5 Classes (2.5 Credits) the previous semester to be eligible the following semester per the IHSA Both the Student-Athlete and Parents should track Academic Progress IHSA By-Law 3.101
ABSENCES • Student-Athletes must attend a minimum of 5 periods to participate on that day. You must also be in attendance at the conclusion of the day (8th Period) • Student-Athletes should contact their coach as soon as possible if they are going to miss a practice or a game due to illness. Call your coach! • Student-Athletes are expected to be present at all practices & competitions including when you are sitting out for medical or academic reasons. Athletes may be excused by the coach from practice for academic reasons.
NON-IHSA EVENTS • Per IHSA By-Laws, Student-Athletes are not allowed to participate in/with outside organizations/leagues/contests, etc. of the same sport during the IHSA season. • Church Leagues • Club Teams • Travel Programs • Etc. • Outside events must be cleared by both the Kaneland Athletic Office and the IHSA in advance of the event. • If you have ANY doubt, please ask. Don’t take the risk to you and your team!
LOCKER ROOM EXPECTATIONS • Keep all valuables locked in your locker, at all times • Do not leave backpacks in the locker room • Student-Athletes may not be in the locker room without supervision • This rule also applies to the training room! • The Locker room will be closed at 3:15 PM each day
CARE OF SCHOOL EQUIPMENT • All school-issued equipment will be returned in a timely manner at the conclusion of the season • All school-issued equipment that is lost will be billed to the student-athlete at replacement cost • All school-issued equipment in your possession must be the equipment that was originally issued to you
KANELAND LEVELS OF PLAYFreshman Level • Everyone plays if there is both an ‘A’ & ‘B’ game • No Athlete is guaranteed any amount of playing time • If there is only an ‘A’ game. The coach will determine who plays based on skill level

ORGANIZATIONAL CHART • Student-Athlete & Coach Meet outside of practice • Student-Athlete, Parent, & Coach Meet • Student-Athlete, Parent, Coach, & Athletic Director • Student-Athletes are expected to communicate honestly to all • Parents will not communicate with coaches immediately before or after contests • Coaches will not discuss playing time or other student-athletes
