  1. Mary A. Youkhana(Prof. C.C. McLauchlan) www.chem.ilstu.edu/stem “The time I spent working with the McLauchlan group has certainly been an eye opening experience. I had the privilege of working with a great group of people, who share the same interest in research and chemistry.”-M.Youkhana [Co(2-MeTIC)]44+ complex My research consisted of synthesizing and characterizing transition metal complexes with 2-MeTIC and copper(II), nickel(II), and cobalt(II). The complexes synthesized can be used to imitate many metalloproteins active sites containing histidine residues. Mary describing her work to ISU President Bowman at the End-of-Summer Poster Session. Mary working in the McLauchlan lab.
