They could really use a helping hand! Between 170 & 200 “at-risk” students will be stepping onto the Rio Grande campus for the first time this coming fall! We believe thatYOUcan be that helping hand!
Be aPersonal Advising Coach(PAC)! We’re lookin’ for a few goodmen and women… Title III is launching a new advising initiative… one in which YOU can make a difference on whether or not they succeed! • You’ll have 4-6 advisees to encourage, advise, and support! • You’ll be supported by training opportunities and resources through Title III Advising Initiatives and CARS (Center for Career Advising & Resource Services)! • You’ll be helping to “re-stack” the cards in favor of our academically endangered students!
What would you be getting yourself into? As a PAC (Personal Advising Coach), you are asked to… Work with 4 to 6 “at-risk” students… Participate in new student orientations this summer(if possible)… Participate in training and support opportunities throughout the year… Join in on listserv and online discussions regarding advising… Share questions and concerns with Thom Mollohan, Title III Advising Specialist or Dorna Smith, the CARS Director…
If you are willing to serve as a PAC or would like more information… call Thom Mollohan at ext. 7191 or email him at thomm@rio.edu.
