Writing Resource Class Rules • Students should not talk during instructional time. • Students are to line up outside quietly, and enter quietly. • Students need to bring all materials daily. Students should sharpen their pencils during homeroom. • Students should be respectful of their teacher/peers daily. • Students should not chew gum, eat or drink during class time. • Students need to raise their hand before speaking out or getting out their seat.

WIN/First Essay • Number each page front and back to the end. • Students will need to add an introduction statement to wow their reader about the summer. • Students will add transitions(sheet) to enhance the organization, and flow of their paper. Students will need to restate their introduction into the conclusion.

Philosophy • I feel that every child has a unique style to help them master new information. The goal is to find the strategy that bests works for you, and patent it to the fullest!
Organization • The most important prerequisite for achieving high expectations is to develop an organized and structured system. Locate places and systems which help you effectively manage classwork, homework, projects, parent information, and extra activities.
Short and long term goal plan • Prioritize your goals. Set realistic timelines. • Use a self-check system, and reward yourself when you complete your goals. • Modify and revise-if you find you need to make changes, do it.
Projects • Use color codes to set up projects or assignments. • Use extra time to complete your project early. This will allow you to make some last minute modifications, if needed. • Enhance your work area. Design it to be it a fun place!
