3. A few hours ago a deadly Tornado formed in the borders of the U.S. It is confirmed that this is the deadliest tornado in the U.S. history. If you look at the map below, you can see that The tornado has traveled in a almost straight line passing through south-eastern Missouri, southern Illinois and south-western Indiana leaving tracks of destruction everywhere. Biggest destruction and most lives taken was recorded in the state of Illinois. The tornado is ranked as F5 tornado, meaning its size and power couldn’t get bigger. The tornado was leaving destruction for 3 and a half hours.

4. In this unfortunate event approximately 1000 people have died and 2000 are injured. To make everything even worse, this tornado was a part of a large tornado outbreak with several other destructive tornadoes in the same day in the states of Tennessee, Kentucky and Indiana as well as the tornadoes in Alabama and Kansas. Including additional tornados 747 people were killed and thousands of people were injured. This tornado also left many people homeless. hav

One of the survivors described the scene that survivors confronted in the Southwest Indiana town of Griffin: • "When the cloud, bloated with debris and tons of river mud, had passed over a slight rise of land to the east of the village, it left behind a landscape that passed beyond the bounds of despair into unreality. The handful of unscathed citizens from Griffin and surrounding districts were confronted with destruction so complete that some could only guess where they had once lived. The search for family and friends had a special hellishness, as fires flickered over the ruins and the injured wandered about in a daze, mud so thoroughly embedded in their skin that identification was all but impossible."

6. There is no clear evidence of why did this massive tornado outbreak occur. Usually, tornados are violently rotating columns of air that are both in contact with earth and a cumulonimbus cloud (or a cumulus cloud in rare cases). They can come in many shapes and sizes. There are various types of tornadoes such as water sprouts, landspout, multiple vortex tornado… All of these form in different places. For example if a tornado forms above sea it will become a water sprout.

7. Tornadoes develop a rotating air which is unique in the U.S. It has also been found out why so many people have died and so much of their property was destroyed: • The tornado watch wasn’t active so people couldn’t be warned about the upcoming tornado and just flee the country • There weren't any tornado warnings.

8. We are hoping that the government is going to start up a “Tornado Warning System” in those areas. Help, food and shelter are being provided to the people who are injured or made homeless during this disaster. A monument was made for all those who didn’t survive. Also the repairing of the city's destroyed has begun
