2 Types Reflexes • Autonomic reflexes: • regulate activity of smooth muscles, heart, glands • examples: • salivating when smell Thanksgiving dinner cooking • pupils dilating/constricting • Somatic reflexes: • stimulate skeletal muscles • examples: • pull hand away from hot stove
