Conclusions • Longitudinal and systematical assessment of professional behavior is important • The scores in the educational setting partly predict the professional behavior in clinical placements. • The PBA proves to be a better predictor and provides additional information to the assessment score in the skills exam I. Implementation in our curriculum • Used as a structured instrument, in various educational situations • Systematically structured feedback from several observers • Identifying unprofessional behavior as early as possible • Sufficient opportunities are offered to explore professional behavior in various authentic situations I. Longitudinal and systematical assessment • Sufficient opportunities for (self) awareness and reflection • Sufficient opportunities to discuss reflection and feedback • The completed PBA forms with illustrative examples in portfolio • Serious discussion of the professional behavior with the mentor I.
