Where is located? PUERTO VARAS Is located 600 miles to the south of Santiago, the capital of Chile
We want to help Three Rotary clubs of this small city have united to help a rural community of 81 families that do not have drinking water.
Where are they? It is a rural population located 7 miles from Puerto Varas called THREE BRIDGES
Who are and how they live? They are humble persons that live of wood extraction and basic agriculture
Who are and how they live? They are an organized community that has church and public school
What are they lack of? DINKING WATER. In spite of living in a good environment THEY DO NOT HAVE DRINKING WATER
How to solve the problem? Three Puerto Varas Rotary Club Puerto Varas Rotary Club Puerto Varas del Lago Rotary Club Puerto Varas Licarayén Rotary Club we have joined to help these families through a matching grant of the Rotary Foundation in only one project.
What we have? • Each one of the 3 rotary clubs can provide 2000 dollars from the 4350 Distric Designate Fund • Each club will try to increase contributions with their own funds so to improve the DDF
What we need? • Three, o more, Rotary Clubs in countries different from Chile that provide to the project from their respective DDF or giving some other personal contribution.
