  2. What is Priapism? Priapism is prolonged of penile erection.

  3. How you get Priapism • Roughly about 25% of the cases are caused by leukemia, sickle cell anemia, metastatic carcinoma, or other diseases of the nervous system, while all the 75% rest is still not clear.

  4. What happens to the system and does it try to fix itself? • Blood is trapped inside the penis, and if the blood is not drained out of the penis then is can lead to erectile dysfunction and permanent scarring. • The body tries to fix itself by trying to pass out the blood that is trapped inside the penis.

  5. What medicines are needed and is Priapism curable? • Injection of alpha-adrenegic sympathomimetic is used to limit blood flow, so when the drug wears off more blood is released out of the penis. • There is no cure for priapism but can be treated.
