Take out your homework from last night Write your homework in your agenda Math 7A- Challenge 1-3 w.s. Math 7- WB pg. 195 (2-12 even) & pg. 197 (2-16 even) ALL CLASSES- join my group on www.edmodo.com Reminder: Solutions for 2 out of 3 of Ms. Van Looy’s math riddles are due tomorrow (8/19). Warm-up: Student Handbook Scavenger Hunt Learning Styles Inventory (Finish for homework if you don’t complete it in class).

Edmodo • We will be using an academic networking site in class this year called Edmodo. • It’s like facebook, but for school stuff. • Today you will need to go home and set up your account and join my group. • If you already have an account for another class you can just add my group to your existing account.

  3. Directions for Creating a New Account on Edmodo • Go to www.edmodo.com • Click on “I’m a student” • Enter the group code for your class: • Math 7A: 0rie26 (the first digit is a zero) • Math 7: fjavvj • Pick a username and password (be sure to write it on the access page of your agenda so you don’t forget it). • Entering your email address is optional • Enter your first and last name

  4. Adding a Group to an Existing Edmodo Account • Log in to your Edmodo account. • On the left hand side in the “Groups” section, click on “join” • Enter the appropriate group code: • Math 7A: 0rie26 (the first digit is a zero) • Math 7: fjavvj

  5. Fractions & Decimals • Go over homework • Center activities: • Adding and subtracting folder game • Multiplying and dividing folder game • Adding and subtracting card game • Multiplying and dividing card game • Adding and Subtracting shapes puzzle • Multiplying and dividing shapes puzzle.
