Taman Kupu-Kupu Bali or Bali Butterfly Park is a butterfly and insect conservation facility which exhibits a wide range of specimens through its park grounds of approximately 3,000sqm located in the village of Wanasari, 30km northwest of Denpasar.

  3. Butterflies are one of the natural riches of Indonesia, and Bali Butterfly Park offers the opportunity to encounter rare and endemic species from all over the archipelago. Hundreds of colourful butterflies are released daily. Among them are famous species such as the Bird Wing Butterfly (Ornithoptera and Troides) Swallow tails and Great Mormon (Papilio). This is one of the biggest butterfly parks in Southeast Asia. Taman Kupu Kupu is in Wanasari just 5 km North of Tabanan. The best time to see the butterflies is early to mid-morning when they arise and take flight.

  8. Atlas beetle (Chalcosoma atlas) Chalcosoma atlas, like other beetles of the genus Chalcosoma, is remarkable for its size, that can reach a length of about 25–60 millimetres in the females. As common in some Scarabaeidae, the males are larger than the females, reaching a length of about 60–130 millimetres. The males have specialized horns on the head and thorax that they use to fight with each other to gain mating rights with females.

  36. The park is among the highlighted stopovers among international visitors who tour through the northern regions via Tabanan. It is conveniently located at an altitude suitable for the insects to breed and thrive, in the sub village of Sandan Lebah, Wanasari, Tabanan Pachliopta aristolochiae balancing itself whilst feeding on a Pagoda Flower
