  2. Lilian Broca is graduated from Concordia University in Montreal with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in 1968 and with a Master of Fine Arts Degree from Pratt Institute in New York, in 1971. For thirteen years she was a Fine Arts Faculty member at Kwantlen College where she taught studio courses in Painting and Drawing. Her work is included in important private and public collections around the world. In 2002 Broca, began working on a new series on the biblical Queen Esther, a body of work executed in Venetian glass mosaics. A year later she was invited to participate in the prestigious 2003 Florence Biennale International Exhibition in Italy. There, her mosaics won the Lorenzo il Magnifico gold medal in the Mixed Media category. In the Beneath the Surface Exhibition, at High Risk Gallery in Chicago IL., in 2006, Broca won First Prize with her Queen Esther and Mordechai in the two dimensional category. In 2007 The entire solo show The Queen Esther Series, at The J.D. Carrier Art Gallery in Toronto Canada, was sold to a private collector.
