Story of Ultimate Briefcase - Sandast

1. Story Of "Ultimate Briefcase" Come visit us at 1205 S. Hill Street in Downtown Los Angeles. We're happily located in South Park, a place of constant inspiration for us.

2. Because of all of the rain we’ve been having in January, some of the leather tanning needed to be done inside.

3. The sun & oil we use working its magic and each leather has been assigned for its specific briefcase.

4. Handmade in Sandast Studio, Los Angeles.

5. Each hole is punched into the leather by hand Once all of the holes have been punched, the leather is then glued together with precision, ensuring each hole is connected on both sides.

6. Now here is the fun part; For each “Braiding” track to be completed correctly, a needle has to go through the hole, swivel out to another hole and then once more to lock in each track. All of this needs to be done while making sure the six to seven foot long braid leather stays on the same side throughout.

7. What an experience and absolute pleasure it was for us to witness each briefcase being born. Admiring all three of the briefcases side-by-side, we took the photo below to show all of you.
