  1. Seaside Beach (Seaside Creek Beach), Fort Bragg, California, United States  Seaside Beach, also known as Seaside Creek Beach, is a picturesque public beach near MacKerricher State Park in Mendocino County. Featuring light brown sand, oceanfront bluffs, and unique rock formations, the beach also sees the Seaside Creek occasionally flowing into the Pacific Ocean. Seaside Beach does not have lifeguards or amenities, so visitors should plan accordingly. Seaside Beach offers a variety of activities including swimming, beachcombing, wildlife watching, fishing, sunbathing, surfing, kitesurfing, windsurfing, boogie boarding, bodysurfing, kayaking, canoeing, boating, and jet skiing. The water is very cold and can have dangerous waves and strong currents, so caution is advised. The beach is home to seals, sea lions, and migrating whales (December to April). Located near 30000 Shoreline Highway/Pacific Coast Highway, about 10 miles north of Fort Bragg, Seaside Beach has a small free parking lot at its entrance. The beach can get crowded during peak times, so plan your visit accordingly. Nearby attractions include the Mendocino Model Railway and Historical Society, offering insights into the region's history with model railroads and dioramas. Fort Bragg’s downtown area features shops, restaurants, and mural artworks. Pacific Star Winery offers wine tasting sessions and scenic views of the coastline and ocean, as well as whale-watching opportunities.
