  1. 18th FICCI Higher Education Summit 2023 - TIET Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology was recently featured as the innovation partner at the 18th FICCI Higher Education Summit 2023. The 2-day summit (29-30th November, 2023) had the overarching theme of "Empowering Minds, Driving Transformation: Redefining the Future of Higher Education.” Esteemed director, Prof. Padmakumar Nair was a key speaker at the FICCI panel discussion on the topic, "Empowering Excellence: The Role of Quality Assurance, Accreditation & Benchmarking in Higher Education." Sharing his wisdom on the theme, Professor Nair emphasized the importance of focusing on achieving excellence rather than simply benchmarking against others.

He explained that while benchmarking can be a valuable tool for self-evaluation and identifying areas for improvement, it should not become the sole focus of an institution's quality assurance efforts. Significance should be given to fostering a culture of continuous improvement within institutions, where faculty and staff are empowered to innovate and strive for excellence in all aspects of their work. Professor Nair's inspiring message resonated with the audience, prompting lively discussions and insightful perspectives.
