Future research question hypothesis • Can we quantify vaporization from snow and evaporation from soil in the total ET response? • Do these compensating factors (snow sublimation and soil evaporation) explain the magnitudes of ET flux observed in healthy and dead stands? • How do hillslope storage processes lead to downslope excess water and potentially higher ET?
