Some Difficulties Encountered Reorders Field Identification Numbers Data backup not available within program Some farmers lack enough computer skills to make downloading from net a problem Manure log should calculate in tons/ gallons instead of loads Field data screen—year can be confusing Need guidelines for ranking fields

    6. Overall….. A WONDERFUL TOOL Simple enough for most farmers to understand and manipulate to generate a nutrient management plan

    7. The Next Generation RUSLE 2 will help farmers answer questions regarding the potential crop rotation, tillage system and residue management to maximize nutrient utilization and minimize pollution. P Index inclusion will help farmers rank fields according to risk when planning manure applications.

    8. Next Generation (Cont) Several cropping years on field data screen a real improvement. Running balance of P and K levels through the cropping sequence very beneficial for farmer understanding and plan development. Keep it simple!
