Sandy Hook - When We Wonder What to Do On the morning of December 14, 2012 Adam Lanza , 20, enters the elementary school in Sandy Hook, in Newtown in Connecticut and, before committing suicide, kills 27 people: 20 are children between 6 and 7 years. On this day we mourn the tragic events at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut. Our hearts ache, indeed, break open for the children and the teachers, and their families in this small New England town. We ache for the loss of life, and for the loss of innocence. We ache for them, and we ache for ourselves. And we wonder; how do we prevent these things from happening? What can we do? What can I do? And we begin to point fingers, and assign blame, and wait for "them" to do something. And we forget that the greatest transformative power, the greatest healing power, is right where we are, pouring into and through us, in this and every moment. What can you do? Don't wait for "them". Don't look to others to change the world. Don't abdicate the great power of love that is yours. Bring that power to bear right now, today. Let your heart break open and allow all of the love that is at your disposal to pour itself through you and into this world. Within that love is all of the pieces and parts, all of the power, all of the solutions and all of the healing. We need not, we cannot wait until we figure out exactly which parts go where. We need not, we cannot abdicate our power, indeed our responsibility to be a healing presence in the world right now, today. We cannot wait for "them". There is no them. We are them. Love is not a mental exercise. We don't need to figure it out. We need to allow it, to say yes, I AM a place where the love that is the greatest power exists now, and pours Itself through me into the world. Love is not a political process. It's not about laws or mandates or management or finger pointing. And it's not about waiting. Love doesn't need to wait.
What can we do? What can I do? Without any waiting, without anyone's permission, without figuring anything out, you and I can bring to the world, today, the greatest power in the Universe, greater than any laws, or person, greater even than any circumstance or situation. We can allow the love that is our primary nature free reign today, allow it to pour itself through our broken open hearts to the people of Newton, Connecticut, and to not stop there. We can keep pouring love into every single moment, into every crossing of paths, into every breath and every thought and every word and every deed until that love has found its way to the farthest reaches of our planet, and into the deepest recesses of our hearts. That's what we can do. In the place of the broken open heart, the greatest healing power on the planet - love - pours forth in infinite supply. May we use it wisely and lavishly, without hesitation. Tell people you love them, today. Call them, today. Hug them, today. Be grateful, today. Today may we love with all of our hearts and all of our souls and all of our being, allowing that healing love to pour forth into the world. We cannot undo what is done, but we can love, today. And nothing can stand before the power of love. Lenny Pozner's six-year-old son Noah was one of them murdered by Adam Lanza in the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting. Lenny Pozner has since been consistently insulted and threatened by people who think he and his son were actors paid by the government to stage a crisis for reasons that only make sense to those whose thought processes sound like shrieking lemurs. Lenny Pozner and HONR Network - a volunteer network he founded have been fighting back against these harassers HONR Network brings awareness to the cruelty and criminality of Hoaxer activity and, if necessary, criminally and civilly prosecute those who wittingly and publicly defame, harass, and emotionally abuse the victims of high profile tragedies and/or their family members. We intend to hold such abusers personally accountable for their actions, in whatever capacity the law allows.
