  3. Objective • By the End of this session you will be able to: • Identify the components of dish Antenna. • Explain functions of each components. • Assemble the components of dish Antenna. • Install the complete dish antenna.

  4. Component Identification

  5. Components • Reflector • Antenna Bracket • Elevation Bracket • LNBF arm with cap • LNBF Clamp • Mast • Struts-2 • Foot mount • Nuts, Bolts & Screws

  6. Reflector • Reflector intercepts the incoming signal from the satellite and reflects to a common point called focal point. Rim Reflector’s Front view Reflector’s Rear view

  8. Antenna Bracket • It helps in fixing Reflector to LNBF Arm and Elevation Bracket. It is fixed on the rear side of Reflector. Direction to hold the Bracket Up ward Direction

  10. Elevation Bracket • Elevation bracket is for elevation & azimuth angle setting and to fix Antenna bracket & Mast . Side View Bolt fixed here acts as Stopper

  13. Screws ,Bolts & Nuts • Screws, nuts and bolts are used to fix two or more parts. Foot Mount, Mast and Struts Nuts & Bolts LNBF Arm & Antenna Bracket , LNBF Arm & LNBF Clamp Nuts & Bolts LNBF Clamp Screws & Nuts Antenna Bracket & Elevation Bracket Bolts & nuts with Marker washers Antenna Bracket and reflector Nuts & posipan screws

  14. Dish Assembling Process

  15. Installation of Dish Antenna • Fix the LNBF Arm to Antenna Bracket as shown. Check the arrow marking on the antenna bracket Arrow mark

  16. Complete assembly will be as below. The bolts to be inserted from the top of LNBF Arm & the nuts to be fixed at the back side of the Antenna Bracket as shown in the picture Installation of Dish Antenna Bolt from top

  17. Installation of Dish Antenna • Fix the Antenna Bracket & Elevation bracket as below. The Elevation Bracket will be placed inside the Antenna bracket & accordingly the bolts & nuts will be fixed as shown in the pictures.

  18. Installation of Dish Antenna • Complete Antenna Bracket, LNBF Arm & Elevation Bracket assembly.

  19. Installation of Dish Antenna • Fix the complete bracket assembly to the Reflector. Note: Always fix the Posipan screws & nuts diagonally

  20. Installation of Dish Antenna • Fix the LNBF Clamp to the LNBF Arm.

  21. Universal Mount Assembling Process

  22. Installation of Dish Antenna • Fix the Mast to the Foot mount along with two Struts. MAST SHOULD BE ALWAYS IN 90 DEGREES wrt GROUND (HORIZONTAL)

  23. Installation of Dish Antenna • The complete assembly is as below. This is floor mount option. • Always prefer Wall mount for installations. Fix the LNBF to the LNBF Clamp Stoppers Stoppers Side View Front View
