  1. MS Announcements: Thursday, Sept. 27th Middle School 1. Don’t forget – tomorrow is Orange and Black Day Seventh and Eighth Graders interested in participating in athletics this winter need to sign-up this week. Boys interested in middle school basketball or wrestling can sign-up in Mr. Taylor’s room. Girls interested in middle school basketball or cheerleading can sign-up in Mrs. Spencer’s room. If you are interested in participating, make sure you sign-up this week! There will be a Homecoming Parade tonight at 7:00 in West Liberty. The parade will start at Lions Park, head west on Pickrelltown, south on Main, and return to the park on SR 245. A pep rally and bon fire will follow at the park. There will be a Homecoming Pep Rally at school on Friday at 2:10. We will be on pep rally schedule. The Homecoming King and Queen Crowning Ceremony will take place at 6:15 at the football stadium on Friday before the game. Friday is the deadline for turning in your Anti-Bullying Poster Contest entries. The top two entries from each grade level will win a free trip to Markin Farms Zipline Adventures with Mr. Johnson and Mr. Westfall. This trip will happen during school hours! Ask your homeroom teacher for information about the poster contest. So far, we have received less than 10 entries. Cancer is a disease that impacts many of us in different ways. You can get involved in the fight to find a cure by ordering a shirt and participating in the “PINK” game we are having on Oct. 5th sponsored by the Pigskin football parents. At next week’s home football game players, coaches, and fans will be wearing pink to help raise awareness and funds. Several different activities will be going on next week and during the game to raise money for the Stefanie Spielman Fund for Breast Cancer Research, but the pink shirts have to be pre-ordered this week. Order forms are being distributed during homeroom today. If interested, return the order form to your first period teacher Friday morning. Students, parents and others are welcome to order. Help us PINK out the stadium for next Friday! Athletics The middle school football team defeated Cedarville, 34-8. Luke Woods completed five passes for 189 yards and four touchdowns.
