  2. Germany was willing to make a deal with France • France, Germany, Great Britain, Italy, and Belgium met in October 1925 to make the Locarno pact.

  3. The Locarno Pact • This made Germany France and Belgium acknowledge their borders with each other • Also gave Germany the Rhineland as long as they agreed to demilitarize the area. • IMCC was scaled down, French troops were not allowed to return to German soil.

  4. Everyone got what they wanted • The pact appeared to be a sign of peace between the countries • This would obviously not last.

  5. At this point all of the countries were tied together economically. • Britain even tried to make a treaty with all the countries against war. • The Kellogg-Brians pact was signed by 15 counties on july 27th 1928. The purpose of this treaty was to end war. Eventually 62 nations signed. • Clearly didn’t end up working
