  3. Question • Does the different types of string or string lengths affect the efficiency of a tin can or paper cup telephone.

  4. Hypotheses • The types of string or string lengths affect the effienicency of a paper cup because the shorter length, the shorter time will travel.

  5. materials • 8 paper cups • 8 tin cans • Thread • awl

  6. procedures • Get 8 tin can and 8 paper cups • Cut the string • Get the awl • Punch holes in the bottom of the paper cups and tin cans • Tie knots at the bottom of the string • Test your hypothesis

  7. Variables • Independent: sound, strong, string lengths • Dependent: volume • Controlled: cups, holes

  8. conclusion My conclusion was right because when I tried it my thought was right.

  9. Question? • My question was that when I tried to do the tin can how come it didn’t work but it has an echo in the tin can.
