WHY is there such a NEED for our facility? • 6 out of 7 states-one of those including Louisiana- surveyed indicating a shortage of child care for children with disabilities. • Research shows that providing support and therapy to children with disabilities in their early years reduce their need for special education and other supports that excludes them from normal, everyday life later on in life. • In a national survey of families who had a child with a disability, one fifth of the respondents pointed out that one parent had to quit work or obtain fewer hours at their work because of their child’s health. Our facility will give the parent an opportunity to get back in the work force because her child will be receiving great care that can be trusted. • Research shows that therapy through dance and sports has shown more successful improvement than therapy accompanied by a specialized piece of equipment
Services We Provide • Child-Care: $15 per hour • Occupational Therapy: $80 per hour • Dance Therapy: $30 per hour • Art Therapy: $15 per hour • Drama Therapy: $15 per hour • Sports: $20 per hour • Aquatic Therapy: $20 per hour • Academic Enrichment Programs: $20 per hour • Summer Camps: $150 per week
Pricing Strategy • On average, normal daycare centers charge $100 for a full day and $50.00 for half days (after-school programs). With those statistics, a conclusion has been drawn to charge $15 per hour that the child is receiving therapy. • For a more intense therapy session, the families will have to pay more.
What makes our Child Care Center unique? • We offer many unique services that can’t be found throughout this industry. It offers therapy through fun activities for the children. These activities include: horseback riding, swimming, dancing, gymnastics, sporting activities (basketball, soccer, bowling, tennis, etc), martial arts, painting, drawing, and sculpting. Our business also offers a well educated, trained, and skilled staff, therefore giving the families trust that their child will be under great care. • Our staff will give the children the emotional and physical support that is needed to allow them to succeed not only through their disability, but also in life. • Our facility allows the children to develop emotionally, physically, behaviorally, and cognitively.
Promise for Success • A more profound and improved addition to the child care industry. • Children with disabilities CAN have a chance to succeed. • Families with children who have disabilities can now enter the work force with no worries because their child is in trusted care. • Children with disabilities find a sense of self determination, inclusion, and higher self esteem.
