  1. Big Idea When we put on our new self if effects our daily life.

  2. 1. We must put on our new self.

  3. Ephesians 4:19 (ESV) They have become callous and have given themselves up to sensuality, greedy to practice every kind of impurity.

  4. Ephesians 4:20 (ESV) But that is not the way you learned Christ!

  5. 1. We must put on our new self. HOW? • “Put off your old self” – v.22 • “Be renewed in your mind” – v.23 • “Put on your new self” – v.24

  6. Application We need to turn from our past life and focus on God. What do you need to surrender to God? How does God need to renew your mind?

  7. 2. Our new self, effects our daily lives with believers.

  8. Lying - Zechariah 8:16 These are the things you are to do: Speak the truth to each other, and render true and sound judgment in your courts;

  9. Anger - Psalm 4:4 (ESV) Be angry, and do not sin; ponder in your own hearts on your beds, and be silent.

  10. Anger - Genesis 4:5-7 but on Cain and his offering he did not look with favor. So Cain was very angry, and his face was downcast.

  11. Anger - Genesis 4:5-7 6 Then the Lord said to Cain, “Why are you angry? Why is your face downcast?

  12. Anger - Genesis 4:5-7 7 If you do what is right, will you not be accepted? But if you do not do what is right, sin is crouching at your door; it desires to have you, but you must rule over it.”
