High school students have several options in the “NATEF Certified” Automotive Technician Career Academy, offered at West Valley Occupational Center.
If a student wishes to start a career with an automotive dealership, their pathway could be: • The Automotive Youth Education System (AYES) Program • Has partnerships with local automotive dealers • Students start the program when they enter the 11th grade

Automotive Training Program, is a “NATEF Certified” (National Automotive Technician Education Foundation) program. • Automotive Youth Education System (AYES) Program is a two year apprenticeship. • All pathways lead to viable employment at the time of graduation. • Articulation with Pierce college leads to AA Degree.
