  2. Great Britain The official name of the country is the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, which consists of 4 parts: England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. The capital is London. The Royal coat of arms of the United Kingdom

  3. Londinium The city of London was established by the Romans around AD 43. This is the Roman settlement of Londinium, as it was in about AD 200.

  4. The Houses of Parliament The coat of arms of the City of Westminster The Palace of Westminster, or the Houses of Parliament consists of the House of Lords and the House of Commons. It is on the north bank of the River Thames in the heart of Westminster.

  5. The River Thames The River Thames flows through London into the North Sea. It is the longest river in England and the second longest in the United Kingdom.

  6. The Tower of London The Tower is a historic castle on the north bank of the River Thames in central London, built by William the Conqueror in 1078.

  7. Madame Tussauds This museum dispays waxworks of historical and royal figures, film stars, sports stars and other celebrities.

  8. The British Museum It is one of the world's greatest museums of human history and culture. Its collection consists of about eight million works.

  9. Trafalgar Square Trafalgar Square is a public space in central London with Nelson's Column in the middle.

  10. The Globe Theatre This is the Globe Theatre, a modern reconstruction of the theatre, named "Shakespeare's Globe", was opened in 1997.

  12. London Eye It is a giant wheel situated on the bank of the River Thames. The structure is 135 metres tall and the diameter is 120 metres. It takes 30 minutes to rotate once.
