Frame • We will describe how self-esteem impacts our personality? • EQ: In what ways does self-esteem impact our actions and how we portray ourselves. • I will complete a handout describing my personality.

Why we’re here… • Because we have to be • To learn some skills that will carry over into adulthood • To learn more about ourselves

Ice Breaker • What is an ice breaker? • Definition of an ice breaker: • An activity used to lighten the mood and or get participants warmed up to the idea of interaction

Topic of the Day: Self-Esteem • When you make really good choices for yourself, how does that make you feel? • Have you ever made yourself feel bad by comparing yourself with others? Things we know…. The way we feel about ourselves has a huge affect on the way we treat ourselves and others, and on the kinds of choices we make. Here are some things you can do to raise or reinforce your self-esteem: • Spend time with people who like you and care about you. • Develop your talents. Resource: www.goodcharacter.com
