The purpose of the budget formula is to ensure equitable distribution of base funds among university divisions at Angelo State University. It establishes a pool of funds for institutional priorities and aids in managing limited resources. The formula does not allocate I.E. or D.E. funds and is a neutral tool free from biased decisions or political influence. It does not dictate budget processes but serves as a fair mechanism for resource distribution. The formula, driven by student credit hours and faculty salaries, calculates budgets for academic and administrative areas based on specific criteria. It excludes utilities and construction costs, focusing on maintenance and operational support for existing facilities.
