  3. High School Evaluations • HS Evaluations compare student transcripts to requirements for: • High School Graduation • SUS Admissions • Bright Futures awards (includes weighted GPA) • Currently being revised… • FCAT scores • State GPA • College Readiness

  4. e-Personal Education Planner (ePEP) • Based on high school graduation requirements and student’s goals for postsecondary/career • Two versions • Started 9th grade in 2006 and earlier • Started 9th grade in 2007 and thereafter • Includes Major Area of Interest • Completed in Middle School • Additional advising features

  6. ePEP for current 9th graders, contains new advising tools

  7. Counselor Access • District has been given access codes • permission tree • Able to sort in many ways • Grade level • ePEP or not • Graduation plan selected • Number of credits planned • Career Cluster and Major area of Interest

  9. Methods • District-generated • FACTS.org ePEP Course File • DOE Reconciliation File

  10. ePEP Course File • Occurs 2x a year, following survey 2 and 3 • Contains all students enrolled in a public school in grades 7-12 • Student demographic info with all ePEP setting info and course record info from ePEP • If student doesn’t have ePEP and/or no planned courses, 0 courses records will be provided

DOE Reconciliation File • Student transcripts vs. ePEP planned major credits • Results: • Direct match- specific course found on transcript for planned MAI credit • MAI match- course found on transcript (as EL) for planned MAI • MAI match- course found on transcript (as core) for planned MAI • Occurs 2x a year, following transcript submissions • Contains only 9th graders (this year)

  13. Important Dates • Late September – Student Activity System for current year available • Late September – Test files at NWRDC including MAI file • Late October to November – First ePEP Course File and DOE Reconciliation File at NWRDC

  14. #1 Question • Do current 9th graders have to have an ePEP this year? Reporting methods 2 and 3 require an ePEP. Check with your district to see how they plan to handle MAI reporting. (*If so, remember there are two Reconciliation runs.)
