  3. PSAR & It’s Achievements • Launched in September 2013 • Five Patents per student • 35000+ BE Sem VII students have studied more than 1,50,000 Patents • Literacy for IPR/Patents among all students raised to a very significant level.

  4. Why Patent Drafting Exercise (PDE) • For all BE Sem VIII Students • All students have to ASSUME that their project is Innovative & Patentable. • To teach students about • Provisional Patent Filing Procedure • Patent Filing Forms • Required Details • Steps & Fees etc…

  5. FDPs • Capacity Building • Trained faculties will guide the students for PDE • Send us a student training report for publication on GTU site.

  6. IT Development • Like PSAR IT platform will be prepared. • Data to be feed via questions. • PDF reports of required forms will be generated.

  7. Course Content • Basics of Patent • Definitions • Objective of Patenting • Requirement/Criteria’s for Patentability • Inventions which are not patentable (Section 3 & 4) • Indian Patent Office, Address, Scope, services offered, Jurisdiction of each office. • Patent Filing procedure in India (Forms No, Title, Purpose, fees and if any time limit) • Performa of Form 1, 2 & 3 explanations for each item under all forms.

  8. Outcome • Capacity Building of our Student’s & Faculties • Step ahead towards IP literacy & Awareness • Generating Eco system for Innovations
