  15. Our programme in the MENA-Region Currently, 54 CIM-experts are working in the MENA-Region, among those, 36 experts are working in the fields of vocational training and private sector promotion

Our programme in the MENA-Region Employers in The MENA Region are for example: • Local Chambers of Commerce and Industry in different countries • The German-Arab Chambers of Commerce and Industry in Algier, Tunis and Cairo • Private companies offering training in the fields of textile, maintenance, telecommunication etc.

  17. Links with other German development programmes CIM-experts can create an important link between governmental institutions, bilateral German projects and the private sector, their role can be:

Our programme in Egypt Currently, 11 CIM experts are working in Egypt employers are for example: • Ministry of Trade and Industry, Productivity and Vocational Training Department (PVTD) • Private Training Institutions like the Hotel School El Gouna • Private Companies offering training e.g.Youssef Allam Group • German University Cairo (GUC) • German Arab Chamber of Commerce, German Industry and Commerce for Export Promotion • East Delta Electricity Production Company • Egyptian Federation for Building and Construction

Our services • Recruiting, pre-selecting candidates, and proposing suitable candidates to employers • Providing information to and conducting contractual discussions with successful candidates • Concluding top-up contracts with experts • Advising experts on insurance and travel matters • Organising medical examinations • Offering courses to experts at the Preparatory Centre for Development Cooperation • Assisting experts in obtaining work and residence permits, and helping them to import their household effects • Involving the experts in the CIM Programme’s reporting, monitoring and evaluation procedures • Involving experts in national and international networks (other development cooperation agreements, embassies, chambers of commerce, others)
