Project history • 1988: NS launches plan for second viaduct • 1988 – 1992: study for alternatives • 1992 – 1998: Delft convinces decision makers that tunnel is needed • 1999 – 2003: Delft prepares the tunnel project with other parties • 2004: Cabinet promises project decision • Project decision the 5th of October 2005
